Q: Can I bring my family with me to USA when I apply for the H-1B visa?
A: Yes. However, in most cases, it is better that you first come to the US and get established. We will sometimes include your children as part of your visa application and they will be approved for a visa at the same time as you. Your spouse will have a H-4 visa. We have been successful in bringing many families to the US. You will need to demonstrate your financial ability to support your family. Remember, that with an H-1B your spouse will not be able to work; however, your spouse could attend school and apply for a separate visa after they are in the US. Also, your children will be able to attend school. There is no additional cost that we charge for your family members to apply and be approved for the visa, except sometimes a small government application fee at the US Consular Office.
